Dr. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and received his post-graduate degree in Chiropractic, graduating cum laude. Dr. Tom professional certifications include Certified Nutritional Specialist (C.N.S.), Certified Clinical Nutritionist (C.C.N.) and Certified Sports Nutritionist (C.S.N.). He is also a Diplomate of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition (D.A.C.B.N.).

In 2009-2010, Dr. Tom served as the Team Nutritionist for the New York Jets. During his tenure, the team achieved back-to-back winning seasons and appearances in two AFC Championship games.
Dr. Tom is a recipient of the Dr. Jim Nichols Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to his profession and his community. Tom proudly shares this award with his esteemed colleagues, Paul Chek and Dr. Robert Rakowski. He was also the 2009 recipient of the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County Lifetime Achievement Award.
Winning the light heavyweight and overall title at the 1995 N. P. C. Natural New Jersey Bodybuilding Championship, Dr. Tom was victorious in his first bodybuilding competition. His impressive physique transformation, knowledge and industry status caught the attention of Bill Phillips, renowned fitness authority and author of Body for Life. Tom can be seen in the highly acclaimed documentary Body of Work.
